What is the DLCF?
The Data LifeCycle Framework (DLCF) ran from 2016 to 2019 and was a nationwide strategy to connect research resources and activities created by NCRIS funding and co-investment.
The goal of the DLCF was to address the complexity of digital research by facilitating a connective framework for institutions and researchers to make the best use of existing national, state-based, local, and commercial eResearch tools and improve data discovery, storage and reuse where possible.
The framework was a live and active development with engagement activities being conducted with interested groups nationally.
The first stage of the DLCF was the development and facilitated integration of a series of enabling technologies to automate access to eResearch infrastructure, improve reliable provenance, facilitate collaboration across organisations and to help harness the growing potential of increasingly open data.
The DLCF project is now closed. For any further information on the project and its outputs please contact us here.
