The framework is a live and active development, with engagement activities being conducted with interested groups nationally. If you would like to be included in the consultation process please let us know.
During these discussions it's been useful to have a place to collect all of the thoughts, suggestions, solutions, and questions people have asked and generated and to make sure it's very clear where the project is with its thinking. The Ideas Forum has a synced collaborative document containing all this information.
The intention of the DLCF is to use highly transparent processes and re-use existing components where possible, openly sharing information to facilitate collaboration between organisations commenting on, designing for and developing the DLCF components.
What has become apparent through our discussions is that while an entire data lifecycle is dealt with in many ways by many groups, there's an appetite for a national perspective on the initiating phases of the research data lifecycle.
These initial steps are often kicked off with the development of Data Management Plans and may have associated data storage and processing resources and for this reason we're focussing on the project initiation phase, and what tools can be used/developed for maximum enduring national benefit.
